PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the stop of transmission and reception control particularly when the oscillation of transmission and reception clock from a modem stops about an HDLC(high-level data link control protocol) controller for transmitting and receiving data through the modem.;SOLUTION: The HDLC controller 1 receives an instruction of a CPU 2 and transmits and receives data through the modem. A self-clock oscillator 15 is provided in the HDLC controller 1, and the clock of the self-clock oscillator is used when the oscillation of the transmission and reception clock from the modem stops.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
