PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize the depth and position of a scratch applied to the outer peripheral surface of the panel portion of a cathode ray tub and to enable automation.;SOLUTION: A scratch applying apparatus holds a disc-shaped edge tool 1 in a revolvable manner and presses the main surface of the disc-shaped edge tool 1 by a ball plunger 2 to make the revolving resistance of the disc-shaped edge tool 1 regulable.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
