PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image comparing device, an image comparing method, an image comparing center device, and an image comparing system having a high collation function capable of acquiring, collating, and confirming the image of a subject to be photographed not only when a collation confirming button is depressed but also before it in acquiring the image of the subject to be photographed. SOLUTION: When the image of a subject to be photographed is acquired by an image pickup means and the collation confirming button is depressed, the image comparing device compares the acquired image with the information on a registered image stored in advance and outputs a compared result. A subject detecting sensor detecting the presence of a subject to be photographed is provided, and the image pickup means acquires a plurality of images of the subject to be photographed after the subject detecting sensor detects the subject to be photographed until the button is depressed. When the button is depressed, the image comparing device compares at least one of a plurality of acquired images with the information on the registered image stored in advance.
