PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a point returning method and an advertising system for a commodity selling system benefiting manufacturers of commodities and customers.;SOLUTION: This point returning method for the commodity selling system is for issuing points following commodity purchase of a customer and returning service or free gifts to the customer in accordance with the points obtained by the customer. When a customer purchases commodities, information regarding the purchase of the commodities is notified from a first purchase management device managed by a store to a second purchase management device managed by a manufacturer of the commodities. In the second purchase management device, a first point is issued on the basis of the information inputted from the first purchase management device and a value of the issued first point is changed in accordance with at least a presence of issuance of a second point by the store.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
