PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for bookbinding by thread stitching and an apparatus for bookbinding in which bookbinding is performed by discharging a printing sheets defective in thread stitching.;SOLUTION: The method for bookbinding by thread stitching and the apparatus for bookbinding in which after the back of gathered printing sheets is stitched by means of a machine, good stitchings and rejected stitchings by of the thread stitching are detected and the printing sheets with the rejected stitching are discharged and the stitching threads on the backs of the printing sheets of only good stitchings are coated with a quick-drying adhesive to fix the stitching threads on the backs of the printing sheets and bookbinding is performed through an after-treatment process in which a cover is stuck on the printing sheets, is provided.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
