METHOD FOR PREDICTING SENSITIVITY TO HELICOBACTER PYLORI BY GENETIC POLYMORPHISM ANALYSIS OF SECRETORY GENE, LEWIS GENE, INTERLEUKIN 1B AND MYELOPEROXIDASE GENE
METHOD FOR PREDICTING SENSITIVITY TO HELICOBACTER PYLORI BY GENETIC POLYMORPHISM ANALYSIS OF SECRETORY GENE, LEWIS GENE, INTERLEUKIN 1B AND MYELOPEROXIDASE GENE
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To predict the sensitivity to the infection with Helicobacter pyroli(HP) and the effectiveness of a method for the removal of HP.;SOLUTION: It has been proved on 239 Japanese test subjects that the infection ratio of HP is defined by a specific genotype of secretory gene, Lewis gene, interleukin 1B and myeloperoxidase gene. There is an accumulation of biological basis suggesting the possibility of the participation of these genes in the HP infection. Accordingly, the sensitivity to the HP infection and the effectiveness of an HP-removing method can be estimated by checking the polymorphism of the above four genes or genes linking to these genes.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
