PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a three-dimensional model by stereo lithography requires molding operation for a part not immediately necessary for transfer molding because of the dependence of molding time on molding volume and molding height and, resultantly, metal mold manufacture by this method becomes not necessarily advantageous in manufacturing time and manufacturing cost over the conventional metal mold manufacture using machining and electro-discharge machining although the benefit of this method is that complicated metal molds can be manufactured advantageously with respect to manufacturing time and manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing the three-dimensional model by carrying out successive lamination by means of metal powder sintering and resin curing using stereo lithography, the upper surface of a part to be subjected to thickness reduction from a part unnecessary for molding is formed into an inclined plane by forming respective layers so that they are successively extended in such a way that they gradually extend with the approach to the upper layer from the lower-layer side upward at lamination. Further, in the three-dimensional model by stereo lithography, the upper surface of the part requiring thickness reduction is formed into an inclined plane which is formed by successively extending the layers at every lamination when the layers are successively cured and laminated from the lower-layer side upward.
