METHOD FOR PRODUCING COLORED GLASS TILE AND COLORED GLASS TILE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a colored glass tile which has a desired pattern (a chart, combination of the chart and a color, or the like) drawn on its one surface or both surfaces and smoothly chamfered outer peripheral edges at least at its one surface side, and to provide a method of producing the same.;SOLUTION: The method of producing the colored plate glass tile comprises a process of coloring at least one surface of a sheet glass with a pigment, a process of forming a plurality of glass tile chips by cutting the colored sheet glass, a process for mounting the glass tile chip on a refractory while interposing a combustible refractory paper chip between the glass tile chip and the refractory, and a process of melting and fixing the pigment onto the colored glass tile chip by heat-treatment and at the same time, softening/chamfering the outer peripheral edges of the glass file chip surface opposite to the surface facing to the upper side surface of the refractory.
