PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adsorbent material which can be produced by an economical production process and can efficiently adsorbe harmful substance, to provide a harmful substance desorption process from the adsorbent material and further to provide a quantitative determination method of endocrine disruptors. SOLUTION: This adsorbent material consists of an organic polymer which is capable of adsorbing at least one harmful substance selected from formaldehyde, methyl mercaptan, bisphenol, nonlylphenol, etc., and the organic polymer is at least one polymeric material selected from silk protein, wool keratin, cellulose and polyamide and also, preferably subjected to graft polymerization processing or chemical processing with an epoxy compound consisting essentially of an acrylic ester, methacrylic ester or glycerol polyglycidyl ether, each optionally containing a metal. By using the adsorbent material, adsorption/desorption of harmful substances and adsorption and quantitative determination of endocrine disruptors can be performed.
