PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple and economical method for collecting useful minor components including carotenes, tocotrienols, tocopherol and triglycerides from crude plant oil and fat without destructing the naturally occurring components therein and refining the crude plant oil and fat.;SOLUTION: This method for collecting useful minor components from crude plant oil and fat and refining the crude plant oil and fat comprises the steps of (a) removing polar components from the crude plant oil and fat with a lower alkyl alcohol or any lower alkyl alcohol-water mixture, (b) removing the alcohol from the thus obtained product by distillation, (c) adding an appropriate amount of bleaching soil to the product obtained from the step(b) at a common bleaching temperature followed by filtration, and (d) deodorizing the product obtained from the step (c) at a relatively low temperature.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
