Methods for the regeneration of Cotton Plant which comprises cultivating a protoplast prepared from Plant Tissue in cotton somatic Culture MediumWhere the protoplast is embedded in a Solid medium; and regenerating a Plant protoplast cultivated.It also provides a method for genetic Transformation of Cotton Plant which comprises cultivating a protoplast prepared from Plant Tissue in cotton somatic Culture MediumTo form Callus, where the leaf is embedded in a Solid medium; Introducing Foreign DNA in the Callus to form callotransformado; and regenerating a Plant transformed Callus.Also provides plants produced according to the methods of the invention, and Seeds and progeniede talesplantas.
