"Carburation steels, high speed, low carbon, low content of chromium.Compositions of high speed steel (HSS) and lower levels of C and Cr than the grades standard HSS to allow the fuel using conventional techniques.The alloys contain less than 0.40% by weight of C and less than 2% of Cr. the low content of Cr is a critical factor in the increased ease of carburation of these steels.The compositions of the HSS hardness and fracture toughness result have higher.More particularly, the steels comprises in% by weight: 0 - 0.4% C and 0.5 - 1.5% Cr, 1.5 - 3.5% Ni, 0.1 - 0.6% Mn; 0.15 - 0.65% of Si, 0.03% maximum of p; 003% maximum of S; one or more elements selected from the group consisting of 4.0 - 15.3% of Mo, 1 - 5.7% of V; up to 13% of CO and up to 28% of W and the number of clusters of Cr + Mo + V%%%%% + W + CO is equal to or less than 35% and Fe mainly to balance more incidental impurities.
