The manipulator (1) or industrial robot has a column (2) fixed to the floor and at its upper side the column is connected with an extending part (3). The extending part can hinge around a horizontal axis (4), for which two bearing parts (5,6) are fixed to the column. From the free outer end of the extending part, an arm (7), formed as a tube, extends downwards and is located with a cross coupling (8). On the front side of the column two casings (9,10) and (11,12) extend on opposite sides, between which are frameworks (13,14) rotatable around vertical axes (15,16). In the frameworks in turn are guide rods (17,18) located around horizontal axes (19,20).
