The invention relates to a subpopulation of the red Rhode-Island breed, a homozygote for the golden gene, intended for producing the simple hybrid male (5A x 3B) required for obtaining, by its crossing with the simple hybrid female (5Cx5D)- a homozygote for the silver gene- belonging to the white Rhode-Island breed, the ROSO SL-2000 hybrid hens used in the production of consumption eggs with pigmented shell, designed for the population.. The hen line of mixed red 3B Rhode-Island breeds also takes part in the schemes for producing the ROBAR SL (3B X 54B) and ROSO SL-93 (5D X 3B) hybrides also employed in the production of consumption eggs with pigmented shell, destined to the population. The heterosomal silver and golden genes play a role in transmitting the feathering colour to the one-day-old chickens and allow to distinguish the hybrid young cocks from the hybrid young hens. The line productive features are: 311 eggs per foddered female in the reproductive cycle, with an average weight of the eggs of 57.6 g and 60.2 g at the ages of 26 and 34 weeks, 2010 g the average female weight and 2850 g the average male weight at the age of 34 weeks; the hens lay the first egg at the age of 146 days; 96 % the youngster viability and 95 % the adult viability, 92.3 % average fertility, and 83.1 % egg hatchability.
