The invention relates to a subpopulation of the white Rhode-Island breed, a homozygote for silver gene, intended for producing the simple hybrid female (5Cx5D), necessary for obtaining, by its crossing with the simple hybrid male (5A x 3B), belonging to the red Rhode- Island breed, the ROSO SL-2000 hybrid hens used in the production of consumption eggs with pigmented shell, designed for the population.The hen line of mixed 5D white Rhode-Island breeds also takes part in the scheme for producing the ROSO SL-93 hybrid, also exploited in the production of consumption eggs with pigmented shell. The heterosomal silver and golden genes have a role in transmitting the feathering colour to the one-day-old chickens and allow to distinguish the hybrid young cocks from the hybrid young hens. The line productive features are: 307 eggs per foddered female in a productive cycle, with an average egg weight of 58.3 g and 61.2 g at the ages of 26 and 34 weeks, 1920 g average female weight and 2680 g the average male weeight at the age of 34 weeks; the hens lay the first egg at the age of 154 days; 96 % the youngster viability and 95 % the adults viability, 91..2 the average fertility aand 81.6 % egg hatchability. The poultry of this line are calm and resistant to diseases.
