THE INCENTION REFERS TO A PROCEDURE FOR THE DETERMINATION OF THE MOLECULAR MASS OF GASES OR MIXTURES OF GASES AND A DEVICE FOR THE PERFORMANCE OF THE PROCEDURE. THE GAS OR GAS MIXTURE TO BE ANALYZED PASSES THROUGH AT LEAST ONE SUPPORT (6) WHERE IT IS LOCATED AT LEAST AN ACOUSTIC OR ULTRASONIC TRANSMITTER OR CELLS (S1, S2) RECEIVING, PREFERRED TO AN ANGLE REGARDING THE AXIS OF THE TUBE TO FORM A MEASUREMENT VIA. THE ULTRASONIC OR ACOUSTIC TRANSMITTER OR THE ELEMENTS (S1, S2) RECEIVERS EMIT A PULSED ACOUSTIC SIGNAL, AND THE TIME OF DISPLACEMENT OF THE PULSES IS DETERMINED THROUGH THE MEASUREMENT ROUTE.
