The invention relates to a method for determination of particle size, particle concentration and particle size distribution in dispersed systems, by means of measuring radiation on illuminating or passing radiation through aerosols and dispersions. The method is characterised in that at least two different wavelengths are used for the determination and at least one measuring beam is use with a geometrically small cross-section, the magnitude of which lies in the range of the particles to be measured.
