Process Systemand Operation Method of Pig Composting with Rock Phosphate

PURPOSE: A production process of pig compost which is characterized by adding phosphate ore to a conventional process mixing pig manure with water modifier(bark, saw dust), is provided to save production cost, reduce rapid temperature change in fermentation and increase phosphate content. CONSTITUTION: The production process comprises the steps of: (i) storing pig manure with air supplied; (ii) mixing with water modifier to be 65-75% of water content and adding 5-10%(based on the total amount) of phosphate ore which controls the fermentation condition(water content, C/N ratio, air-permeability) and reduces the amount of water modifier(about 5%); (iii) fermenting in an aerobic condition; (iv) drying, after-fermenting and generating harmful gases such as ammonia and methane; and (v) sieving to separate phosphate ore and large-sized compost from formed compost, where the separated materials are sent back to step(ii) for recycling.
