PURPOSE: A method for cultivating Cordyceps militaris by using a cultivation shelf in which a plurality of host cell supporting holes are formed in size as large as a silkworm pupa or a silkworm is not passed through on the bottom when they are allowed to stand erect is provided, thereby improving productivity and merchandising properties. CONSTITUTION: Cordyceps militaris is cultivated using a cultivation shelf(10) comprising a cultivation plate(14) formed by host cell supporting holes(12) on the bottom and a leg(16) for supporting the cultivation plate. The cultivation plate leg is fixed to the bottom of the cultivation plate or at a specified position in the longitudinal direction of the leg in a state where a plain part of the cultivation plate is connected. A side plate(22) is connected to each leg and a corner of the cultivation plate. The cultivation plate is made from injection of polypropylene. The method has the advantage of wrapping the cultivation shelf itself without collecting Cordyceps militaris from the cultivation shelf after the cultivation is completed.
