AUTHENTICATION METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR ALLIED WEB SITE GROUP BY USING EXTENDED IDS AND MILEAGE RELAY SYSTEM AND METHOD AS THE APPLICATION OF THEM

PURPOSE: A system and method for the member authentication and the mileage transfer between web sites using the extended ID are provided for a user to use conveniently the internet by removing the complicated registration procedures through the extended ID, and for a web site to reduce largely physical and time resources that is spent to manage and collect members. CONSTITUTION: The user accesses the first web site and enters an ID and password(S10). A server of the first web site checks if the entered ID is a common ID or an extended ID including a site identifier(S12). If the entered ID is the extended ID, the server of the first web site checks if the site identifier of the extended ID is the same as one of the first web site or not(S14). If the site identifier of the extended ID is not the same, the server of the first web site sends the extended ID and password to a relay server(S16). The relay server sends the data on the extended ID and password to a server of the second web site which has the same as the site identifier of the extended ID(S18). The server of the second web site performs the authentication of the extended ID and password, and sends the authentication result to the relay server(S20). The relay server sends the authentication result to the server of the first web site(S22). If the extended ID and password is registered on the server of the second web site according to the authentication result(S24), the server of the first web site allows the client to use the service(S26). Otherwise, the server of the first web site does not allow the client to use the service.
