PURPOSE: An insulation pipe and a method for manufacturing the insulation pipe are provided to prevent freeze-burst at temperature lower than the freezing point by coating foamed PVC on pipes used in boiler piping or water supply piping, and to reduce a manufacturing cost. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing the insulation pipe includes the steps of molding a pipe having a hollow portion by a pipe molding machine(210), cooling and drying the pipe while passing a cooler(220) and a drier(230), coating liquid state insulation material made of foamed PVC of 96.9¯98.9% by weight, chaff of 0.3¯0.8% by weight, sawdust of 0.3¯0.8% by weight and waste synthetic fiber of 0.5¯1.5% by weight and forming a PVC coating layer on the surface of the insulation material, cooling and drying the insulation material having the PVC coating layer and adhered on the pipe while passing a cooler(250) and a drier(260) so as to form an insulation pipe.
