FACE-IMAGE RECOGNITION METHOD OF SIMILARITY MEASURE USING CORRELATION

PURPOSE: A method for measuring the similarity of faces and authenticating the faces using the correlation is provided to increase the accuracy of a face authentication. CONSTITUTION: An image photographed by a camera is inputted to a face authentication system(110). The face authentication system extracts a face from the image(120). The face authentication system forms a mosaic in a fixed range based on eyes of the area and detects an area of the eyes(130). A preprocessing for removing noises is performed(140). A similarity between information inputted and face information stored in a database is measured using correlation(150). A result of the authentication is output.
