PURPOSE: A process of preparing food using Houttuynia cordata powder is provided by grinding Houttuynia cordata and mixing them with conventional noodle, bread or bean curd materials. Whereby, the food product such as noodles, bread or bean curd has a characteristic taste and flavor of Houttuynia cordata. CONSTITUTION: Houttuynia cordata is dried at specified temperature for a specified time, and ground. The powder is kneaded with wheat flour, starch, salt or the like, aged and formed into noodle strips, followed by drying. The Houttuynia cordata powder is also added to bread materials such as wheat flour, powdered milk, butter, yeast or the like, kneaded, fermented and then roasted in an oven to produce bread.
