PURPOSE: A thermal storage material heating apparatus is provided to save the cost and to improve the performance of the thermal storage material heating apparatus by installing a separate heat collecting section at a periphery of a heater accommodated in a thermal storage tank. CONSTITUTION: Heaters(3,3') are installed at one side of an inner portion of a thermal storage tank(2) formed with an insulation layer(1). An inlet pipe(5) equipped with a draining pipe(4) and a circulation pump(10) is provided by passing through the thermal storage tank(2). A cylindrical member(7) formed with a plurality of pores is installed at a periphery of the heater(3). A heat collecting section(8) is formed between the cylindrical member(7) and the heater(3). Inlet pipes are branched by means of 3-way valve(9). One of the inlet pipes is connected to a middle part of the draining pipe(4), and the other of the inlet pipes passes through the thermal storage tank(2).
