A Method for making English word in data processing system

PURPOSE: A method for inputting English words in a data processing system is provided to input only two or three letters to search words having the letters in a database, when inputting English words in the data processing system or a mobile communication terminal, so that desired words are readily selected. CONSTITUTION: If a user inputs more than one English letter(100), a CPU(Central Processing Unit) checks whether an asterisk key is inputted(110). If so, words of user data are searched and displayed on an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) in an alphabetical order(120). If a word is selected(130), the word is displayed on the LCD(140) then a next command of the user is waited. If the asterisk key is not inputted in the step 110, the letters inputted by the user are displayed on the LCD sequentially(170). If a word is not selected in the step 130, whether the asterisk key is inputted is checked(150). If so, the inputted incomplete letters are cleared and the step 100 is returned to wait the input of the first letter of a next word. If the asterisk key is not inputted in the step 150 and a sharp key is inputted(160), next letters inputted by the user are displayed on the LCD sequentially(170). If the sharp key is not inputted in the step 160, the step 100 is returned to wait the input of the first letter of a next word.
