GUI has library metaphor based on non-euclidean geometry

The data processing system has a GUI that allows the user to interact with the virtual environment. The environment, and has a graphical representation of the storage device based on the metadata library buffer. The storage device may be used to store the items of information graphically. The virtual environment is path-dependent and has a geometry. This allows modification of the storage apparatus for adding the additional items without visually interfering with the organization of the items previously stored.
