PURPOSE: A system for managing a logistics through the Internet and a method thereof are provided to guide and manage a position of an article being moved in real time. CONSTITUTION: An article which is requested for a delivery is moved to a midway point of a destination and delivery information of the article is inputted. Firstly, a bar code attached on the article is read. In detail, a light scanned in a light scanning unit(31) of a reader scans a symbol of the bar code. Because reflectance of a bar and a space of the bar code symbol are different therefrom, a light-receiving unit(32) senses the amount of the light and generates an electric signal according to the amount thereof. A signal processing unit(33) amplifies an electric signal generated in the light-receiving unit(32) and creates a valid analogue signal through a signal process. A reading unit(42) performs a digitizing process of the analogue signal, converts the signal into a digital signal, and transmits information of the article through a bar code attached on the article to a host computer through a transmission unit(43). The host computer creates information related to a delivery of the article. Created delivery information of the article is transmitted to a server through the Internet.
