PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly manage a connection state between VoIP terminals without increasing a traffic quantity of an IP network even if a communication abnormality occurs between the VoIP terminal and a connection state managing server during a call.;SOLUTION: An Internet communication system is provided with a connection monitoring device 5 monitoring the passage of sound communication data between terminals 3 in a routing device 2 where sound communication data transmitted/received between the terminals 3 pass without fail, conducting communication tests on the respective terminals 3 when the passage of sound communication data between the terminals 3 cannot be measured even if a prescribed time elapses and informing a sound communication service controller 4 of the termination of sound communication between the terminals 3 instead of the terminal 3 when the communication abnormality is detected.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
