4 CaSO4 based thermoluminescent detectors bonded with P-compound and its fabricating method

PURPOSE: A CaSO4-series TL device containing phosphorus compound and its preparation method are provided, wherein the device has good TL sensibility and is used to measure the personal radiation dose and to detect the lowest dose. CONSTITUTION: The CaSO4-series TL device comprises a CaSO4-series TL material; 10-50 mol% of a binder which is a phosphorus compound; and an activator. The phosphorus compound is prepared from the compound selected from the group consisting of NH4H2PO4, (NH4)2HPO4, H3PO4 and P2O5. Preferably the activator is selected from the group consisting of Mn, Dy, Tm and Sm; and the CaSO4-series TL material is CaSO4:Dy. The method comprises the steps of mixing the CaSO4-series TL material and the compound for preparing the phosphorus compound; press molding the mixture at 100-300 MPa; and sintering the obtained molded one at 500-700 deg.C.
