The optical communication interface module according to the present invention is a module for performing optical communication by being connected to a DC power terminal, an input / output terminal, and a ground terminal of a telecommunication interface module of an I 2 C communication protocol. The module includes a PNP transistor for transmission, a pull-up element, a photo-generation element, a photoelectric conversion unit, and first and second receiving NPN transistors. In the transmission PNP transistor, its base is connected to an input / output terminal and its selector is connected to a ground terminal. One end of the pull-up element is connected to the DC power supply terminal to drop the voltage in proportion to the amount of current flowing through the pull-up element. In the photo-generation element, the anode is connected to the other end of the pull-up element and the cathode is connected to the emitter of the transmission PNP transistor, so that current flows in itself to generate transmission light. The photoelectric conversion unit converts light received from the light generating element of the opposing optical communication module into an electrical signal. In the first receiving NPN transistor, the collector is connected to the anode of the photo-generating element, the emitter is connected to the ground terminal, and the base thereof is driven by the output signal from the photoelectric conversion section.
