The industrial vehicle of the present invention has a body frame 1a and a rear axle 10 supporting the rear wheel 11 and slidably supported by the body frame. The potentiometer 26 is supported by the vehicle body frame and spaced apart from the swing shaft of the rear shaft by a predetermined distance. The potentiometer detects the swing angle of the rear axle. The link mechanism 27 enlarges the displacement (movement) of the swing shaft and converts the rear shaft displacement into a rotational displacement. The link mechanism 27 operates the potentiometer 26 in accordance with the displacement displacement.
