SUBSTANCE: method involves mellowing and moling soil to different depth; forming triangular ridges so that apexes of ridges are oriented one toward another by pressing middle portion of each ridge from up to down and from down to up direction. Tillage unit has frame with succession of working tools such as spring tines with disks, flat hoes and bladed drum. Roller with wedge-shaped disks is arranged in front of drum. Disks are arranged in two rows and made split. Wedges with single-sided hoes are positioned on working surface of hoes. Working surface of hoes is oriented downward. Drum blades are made in the form of bars of triangular section, which are rigidly fixed on flat disks. Such method and tillage tool are used for erosion-preventive treatment of soil for forming moisture-saving and moisture-accumulating soil layers.
