The system has an up current power generator with a chimney containing a wind turbine with a generator and a horizontal glass roof collector at a distance from the base at least partly enclosing the chimney. Heat collected beneath the collector rises up the chimney and drives the wind turbine. Heat storage elements outside the collector are heated by solar radiation and moved under the collector to give off heat to air flowing into the chimney. The system has an up current power generator with a chimney (1) containing a wind turbine (2) with a generator and an essentially horizontal glass roof collector at a distance from the support and at least partly enclosing the chimney. The heat collected beneath the glass roof collector rises up the chimney and drives the wind turbine. Heat storage elements (11) outside the glass roof collector (4) are heated by solar radiation and are brought beneath the collector to give off the stored heat to the air flowing into the chimney.
