The solar unit has a solar collector (1) with an inclined absorber (2) and a heat accumulator (6). The absorber is arranged to receive sunshine on one side and has a heat transfer medium (WM) on its other side for conductive heat transfer. The heat accumulator is a layered accumulator with an integral heat exchanger (18) to heat the water (B) and is connected to a lower distributor chamber (7) to supply cold heat transfer medium (WM1) and to an upper collector chamber (8) to remove hot heat transfer medium (WM2). At least the collector chamber is insulated from the sunshine.
