The heat flow switch for joining and separating thermally conductive elements to comprises a switching cylinder (2) joined to a heat source (8), and a corresponding base plate (1) joined to a heat sink (7). In open state of the switch the switching cylinder and the base plate are separated from one another by a gap by means of compression springs (6), distance pieces (5) and a stop ring (3). Piezoelectric actuators (4) acting in opposition to the compression springs are installed between the switching cylinder and the base plate.
