Testing head comprises an inlet region with a cone in contact with an inner chamber via an opening. The cone has a non-wettable surface liquid to be controlled, is such that the liquid releasing region of a dosing device is arranged in the cone and a wettable inner chamber is directly connected to the opening. The opening is such that during and/or after insertion the liquid surface in contact with the surroundings is as small as possible. Testing head comprises an inlet region (4) having a cone (5) in contact with an inner chamber (2) via an opening (1). The cone has a non-wettable surface for the liquid to be controlled, is made of a material having a low thickness and is dimensioned so that the liquid releasing region (8) of a dosing or pipetting device is arranged in the cone and a wettable inner chamber is directly connected to the opening. The opening is dimensioned so that during and/or after insertion the surface of the liquid in contact with the surroundings is as small as possible. An Independent claim is also included for a process for the gravimetric volume control of devices for dosing or pipetting liquids. Preferred Features: A ventilation opening is arranged in the wall (7). The amount of liquid used is less than 300, preferably less than 20 micro l. The wall is made of a conducting material or has a conducting outer surface.
