Mechanism for compensating for angle errors in the mold closing unit of an injection molding machine in which the mold bearing plate (8) and base plate (7) form a ball-and-socket joint (9) comprises a bolt which passes through an angled bore (12) in the bearing plate into a bore (23) in the base plate. The bearing surface (25) which it contacts has the same curvature as that of the ball-and-socket joint.
