The clip-shaped measurement unit, to register mold closing forces, has a clip in two half-sections linked together by a hinge at one end and with a recess at the other end to take a screw bolt to be locked together. The outer recess holds the base plate of an amplifier under a shrouding cover. An expansion meter has a sensor disk with two signal lines, extending through the channels and the damper cushion, and connected to a monitor. The clip-shaped measurement unit (5), to register mold closing forces, has a clip (51) in two half-sections (511) linked together by a hinge (512) at one end and with a recess at the other end to take a screw bolt to be locked together. Each half-section has recesses at the outer and inner sides, linked together by a number of cable channels. The outer recess holds the base plate of an amplifier under a shrouding cover (517). At least one damper cushion of a soft material is within the inner recess, with channels linked to the cable channels. An expansion meter has a sensor disk with two signal lines (532), extending through the channels and the damper cushion, and connected to a monitor (54). The sensor disk is in contact with the molding machine surface.
