Method for quality control of electrical components, especially capacitors or such components are formed heterogeneously. Testing uses thermo-hydraulically generated shock waves that are focussed onto the test component using a sound wave conducting medium. The component is mechanically loaded and the results analyzed in real-time. The invention also relates to a corresponding device for carrying out the method.
