Signal extraction circuit for integrated photodiode uses 2 p-channel MOSFETs and operational amplifier

The signal extraction circuit (AKSA) has a MOS transistor connected in series with the integrated photodiode (D1), the transistor gate coupled to the output of an operational amplifier (OP1) having a non-inverting input coupled to the junction (K) between the MOS transistor and the integrated photodiode and an inverting input coupled to a reference potential (Vref). The MOS transistor is provided by a p-channel MOSFET coupled in common gate configuration with a second p-channel MOSFET, providing a drain current corresponding to the photodiode output current.
