The reinforced concrete cover plate (2), for use with a thin-walled plastics shaft body (3), has a collar (1) which grips over the shaft wall. The laying surface (4) of the collar is at an angle of 30-60 deg to the center axis of the shaft, and preferably 45 deg . A foam or plastics strip is between the cover plate and the shaft body.
