Waterproof seam for garment with outer waterproof cover over thermally insulated lining

In a process to make a waterproof garment e.g. fishing wading overalls with watertight boots, adjacent panels of fabric are brought together and sealed. The fabric consists of an outer watertight layer separated by an insulating layer from a lining. Near the seam, the insulation tapers to zero thickness. Prior to application the lining inner face transition zone is coated with a bonding agent (201). The line along which the outer face of the lining (3) meets the inner edge of the watertight layer is protected by a bonded strip (40).
