The load is secured by tension chains, engaging on a crossbar, to press the load against an abutment, with a tension force set by a tension device. Each chain (8,9) has one or more torque bearings (14,15). During operation of the tension devices, the bearings prevent turning movements of the tension chains. Each bearing has a forked head, and the tines each enclose an edge-mounted support rail (22,23) of the load platform when in support position. The bearings each have a slot to hold a vertical link of the chains.
