The drive has a pull cable in the form of a continuous loop that engages a movement mechanism for the closure element on both sides of the closure element and a drive device for selectively driving the cable in two opposite directions to open or close the closure element. The cable(16) is guided in a casing (28A) over at least part of its length, whereby the casing has an extension element (50) for setting the length of the cable path and hence the cable tension. An Independent claim is also included for a method of mounting a drive for a movable closure element.
