The method for operating an electronic control module on a mobile vehicle comprises determining the state of particular characteristics of the vehicle, determining if attention is needed, based on this characteristic and interrogating a database, e.g. using a pager or radio, to find out where the attention is available. An Independent claim is included for a system for carrying out the method.
