The drive consists of three conical gear wheels, a drive pulley, a free-wheel intermediate pulley, and a take-off pulley. The take-off pulley is connected on one side to a flywheel mechanism via an additional transmission. The axles of drive and take-off pulleys are parallel, the wheels can move along an axle but cannot turn relative to it. The intermediate pulley transmits the torque between drive and take-off pulleys and ensures that both wheels rotate in the same direction. The axle of the intermediate pulley is moveable between the other two axles, and all axles are always parallel. Drive and take-off pulley and intermediate pulley axle are connected turnable via rods. The flywheel mechanism acts via the rods on all three pulleys simultaneously.
