A process (I) for producing a thermostable extract with antioxidant and wound-healing activity, is new and comprises culturing microalgae, subjecting the microalgae to oxygen oversaturation, separating the microalgae from the culture medium by centrifugation, and filtering the culture medium. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an extract (II) produced by (I), with a superoxide dismutase (SOD)-like activity of at least 30 U/ml and a sulfated polysaccharide content of at least 1 mg/ml; (2) an extract (III) with antiradical properties, prepared from(II) by precipitation with a solvent or by separation on a cellulosic membrane and has a SOD-like activity of at least 30 U/ml; (3) an extract (IV) with tissue regeneration properties prepared from (II) by precipitation with a solvent or by separation on a cellulosic membrane and has a sulfated polysaccharide content of at least 1 mg/ml.
