The method comprises the steps which consist in making a preform of the part to be manufactured in a coherent texture of the carbon precursor, implementing a process for making such as the knitting stitch of two-dimensional texture, or braiding, and to carry out a treatment of carbonization and of activation to directly obtain the desired shape, made of activated carbon fibers; the preform being dimensioned so as to take account of the shrinkage during carbonization and activation.le method is used to produce pieces of clothing for protection against attacks such as nuclear, bacteriological or chemical treatment.
