The wind turbine is in the form of a tower which has a central vertical axis (11), and on which are stacked modules with a blade pivoting about a horizontal support (1,2). The blades (3,4) of these modules can fold back 90 degrees as they rotate into the wind. The blades facing the wind are locked near vertical by a lower rail (8).
