PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide optical fiber array parts capable of connecting, at a low connecting loss, optical waveguides and optical fibers, which are arrayed in an optical waveguide circuit. ;SOLUTION: As shown in (a), on a guide base plate 1 an which 32 pieces of V-grooves 9 are formed, a holding placed which holds optical fibers 3 inserted into the V-groves 9, the guide base plate 1 and the holding plate 4 are bonded with an adhesive 5, on the optical fiber array parts 7, a camber of amount of camber B is formed in the array direction of the optical fibers 3, by means of a contracting stress at the time of hardening of the adhesive 5, as shown in (b), and the array shape is curved by the camber at least on the connecting end face side of the optical fibers 3. The optical fiber array parts 7 are formed correspondingly to the camber of the optical waveguide circuit on the opposite connecting side, roughly making the connecting end face of the optical waveguide in the optical wave guide circuit coincide with the corresponding connecting end face of the optical fibers 3.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
